Staying Motivated...? Needing some help here!

Hi All. I am 5'3, a year ago I weighed 158 pounds...today, 136..but my low was 132, and I would love to be 129. I was happy at 132 but my scale keeps creeping up. I am having a hell of a time staying motivated! I spend one week measuring everything, staying in budgeted calories...and then 3 weeks packing on the two pounds that I lost and 3 more. I feel like I'm my own worst enemy. And, I NEVER want to get as heavy as I was. NEVER! So I'm wondering how everyone stays motivated, if anyone has any suggestions. Right now...it's just my conscious, my inner Jimminy Cricket telling my not to start beer bonging nutella. However, when I started this I actually bought some henna and did a henna tattoo on my hand to try to remind me of my goals. ...Not sure if that worked great but I have a job now that I don't think would appreciated it.
Any thoughts? What works for you?

well this has to be fun Heather:) stop measuring counting and obsessing enjoy food and life and live abundantly..My mantra that helped me lose the last 20 lbs was..." I can eat ANYTHING I WANT IN ABUNDANCE IF I DESIRE...ANYTHING"0

You are right. I freak out way too much and STRESS! But, how do you not freak out? If you are not measuring, how do you log everything? Or do you just eyeball it and think...that is probably a cup? A cup is good?0

I can't tell if he's trolling or being serious. Abudantly eating whatever he wants and losing 20 pounds? Perhaps he meant eating whatever he wants in MODERATION and losing 20 pounds?
Heather, you lost your first 20 pounds measuring and working out, I assume? If you're not working out, start now! Just doing that and keeping your existing diet as it is will help on its own. Skinny girls look good in clothes. FIT girls look good naked!0 -

My scale is going up too, but so are my stress levels while my sleep has drastically declined. There are so many combinations out there for each person that will drive the scale in either direction. I'm just "now" truly trying to focus on the positive and instead of constantly stressing over every thing i do or don't do or eat and etc etc. Just don't stop trying and always find something positive in any and everything you have surrounding you. God Bless, Best Wishes and Good Luck!0
