Learn to comfort yourself.
The longing for someone to share your burden can be worse than head hunger. But you will not always be able to get in touch with your support system. So, you will benefit from learning to comfort and support yourself.
Can you treat yourself to an afternoon of reading alone? How about going to a yoga class or getting a pedicure? There are so many ways to comfort yourself. Find what works for you.
Action for the day: What feels really comforting to you (that isn't unhealthy)? Make a list to refer to when you are disconnected or lonely.

Thanks Molly. I was bored and really wanted to eat something but I wasn't even hungry. I took a nap instead which I never do becuase of the kids. It was great and I feel like I did what I needed to at the moment.
How does everyone else get comfort without food? I basically just come here for now. I haven't figured out much else.0 -

My advice is binge.
haha- now before you jump to conclusions. the next step post-binging is to write down every detail of your mood, demenor, attitude, and physical/mental feeling.
9/10 times after I give into my desire, I have horrible feelings/thoughts.
I refer to this in week moments.
This is ABSOLUTELY normal whenever you first start dieting. I think the reason people put up big numbers after they give 2 months of solid effort and see results, is because eventually you become so disciplined, that you strive for bigger and better numbers.....atleast that is where I'm at. I finely fine tuned diet/exercise to the tune of 12 pounds. This all in 8 weeks. WHILE MAINTAINING my mass. This is HUGE for me, that I'm so motivated right now, over the next three months I've extended my goal from 22 lb total loss to 28 lb TOTal loss...16 lbs in 3 month....how motivating is that???0 -
Two thumbs up. :flowerforyou:0
