  The 5:2 Diet Made eZy by Polly Fielding. The 5:2 Diet Single Serving Vegetarian Recipes by Belinda price. Your 5:2 Diet DaysTasty Recipes For One, by Lucy Lonsdale and Simple Heathly Smoothies For the 5:2 Diet by Emily Hanson. I got them all from Amazon and they have guided me through the last 8 months on this brill diet. The smoothies are sooo filling yet the calorie count at the bottom of each recipe fits wells into the 2 meals a day that I now do. I could never stick to any other diet until this one. Hope this helps some of you!

I have found these Amazon Kindle editions to be helpful.
1. Understand "The FastDiet" In 15 Minutes: Intermittent Fasting Simplified [Kindle Edition] Jeff Reynolds (Author)
2. The 5:2 Diet Book: Feast for 5 Days a Week and Fast for 2 to Lose Weight, Boost Your Brain and Transform Your Health [Kindle Edition] Kate Harrison (Author)
3. The FastDiet: Lose Weight, Stay Healthy, and Live Longer with the Simple Secret of Intermittent Fasting [Kindle Edition]
Michael Mosley (Author), Mimi Spencer (Author)
It is the first diet I have been on that you can eat Donuts, Pizza, Bread, etc. - real food. Most days it is in the quantity you desire. It is only on the 2 days of your choosing that you restrict the calories you consume to 500 calories for females and 600 calories for males. So you are still eating something. Not what I call, a real abstain from food, fast.
It is meant to simulate the feast / famine our ancestors faced. The science behind it is real fascinating.0 -
The 5:2 is just another name for Intermittent Fasting0
-
Intermittent fasting is really an umbrella title for several plans-
-alternate day intermittent fasting (what I used to lose my extra weight)
-5:2 or 4:3 plan
-eating windows, usually 5 or 8 hour windows
All are considered IF, but are a bit different from each other.0 -
5:2 is one form of intermittent fasting, nobody's claiming otherwise.
OP, that's great you've been following this for so long and are still enjoying it! There are 2 groups here on MFP dedicated to 5:2-ing, where you'd get a warm welcome.0
