get out of the habit?

I realised I was going through sugar binges more and more regularly and was determined to stop them. This week I have been really healthy, feeling really good. Then yesterday I got a rubbish result in one of my uni papers and it upset me a bit so I thought on my walk back I'd stop and pick up a cinnamon bun to have with a coffee to cheer myself up a bit whilst revising. Anyone after, I just wanted more to eat and I thought because I was going out for dinner later I may as well just not count that day, bought and ate a pack of biscuits, went out for dinner and had dessert as well which I never normally do.
But today I feel horrible and disappointed, I so wanted to go a week without having a binge day.
Honestly, how can you find the will to stop it?

Hey, I used to have a bad binging habit too... I haven't had one in over 40 days now, and I have literally no desire to. I used to crave them so much. If you stick with it I'm sure it'll get easier. However, I don't deprive myself of anything - if I want a treat (e.g. chocolate) I'll let myself have a little bit of it as long as it fits into my calories for the day. Avoid buying big packets of stuff (crisps, biscuits, chocolates)... if you are really craving something only have a little packet. I know that when there is junk food lying about I just can't resist finishing everything.
Also, I had a quick look at your diary, and there are a few days where you're netting under 1,000 calories. I really think that if you consistently meet your goal you won't feel the need to binge/overeat.
The most important thing is that you just move on, accept that you had a bad day, and get back on track. And just because you eat something unhealthy it doesn't mean you've blown your whole day. Going on to eat lots more because 'oh well, I've messed up already' just means that it's going to take longer to reach your goal.0 -
Eat more and you won't binge, simple.0
