Weekends Are Rough

On weekdays things are easier to monitor and know the calories because I eat at home. On the weekends it gets very difficult because my family and I go out to dinner. (2-3 times a week) I do my best to be careful with what I eat and order and I only drink water as a beverage. Going out on the weekends means that I have to eat very little during the day and wait for the evening so I can eat all of the calories! I keep myself full by drinking a lot of water. Does anyone else go out to dinner a lot? What do you do?

i usually go into those scenarios all ready knowing what im going to order based on what i like to eat as a "healthy" option. I always order some type of chicken breast, salmon, or a big salad etc....and ill usually always get the same thing no matter what restaurant it is. im human so there are days where ill decide **** the diet i feel like pigging out today and order ribs or something...just dont do that often maybe do that once out of every third day or something. as long as you try to go with moderation you should be fine. if you do end up doing that, sometimes your family might say something negative, like why arent you eating much, etc... but dont let it get to you. be selfish and think of yourself and your future, youll get the last laugh.

    Hi there,

I have just gotten back from holidays and it's hard when you're eating out! I went to the shop and bought some really healthy stuff for breakfast and lunch and snacks so then the only meal I was eating out for was dinner.

When eating out I basically tried to avoid anything laden with starchy carbs (no pasta, rice or mash! and tried to order sauces on the side. Basically stuck to grilled meat and vegies where possibe.

It's doable - all about the choices you make!
