Snowboard and Ski Log in Exercise

I was just wondering how to log in number of minutes/hours snowboarding or skiing. Snowboarding IS a really great work out! This winter I went about 2-4 times a week and I did not even count it as exercise, but it really is! I lost about 6 pounds this winter without dieting (I honestly didn't even realize I was working out half the time)! So my question is: Do you just log that you went for 5 hours or do you log how many minutes you were actually just going down?

I feel like you would still burn calories skating from one lift to another, and sitting on the lift holding your board up is probably burning calories and you don't even realize it. But for logging purposes what are you supposed to log?
Thank you guys!!

I just count the number of runs/laps I do... then count the average time (3-4 minutes per depending on the vertical). I don't consider the time on the lift or standing around in a lift line or whatever to be exercise. It's something I'd do on an active rest day. So if I go for 3 hours and do 12 runs I'll count about 36-48 minutes or so. Round to 40? 45?
  • Ok that is a really good idea! Thanks for the advice I think that's how I will do it! :) (maybe even stop watch it one time to really see how much time I am actually working out and how much I am at rest) :)

    Thank you!! :)
