We did this activity in a class the other day, I thought it would be interesting to do it on here. It's fun to see what traits come up really often, and people can surprise you.

Name 10 traits that describe you. Try to have an equal number of "positive" and "negative" traits.

Sometimes it can be hard do decide if a trait is positive or negative. It will be interesting to see if opinions differ on certain traits

Here's mine to get you started

Positive- clever, level headed, tolerant, determined, curious

Negative- cynical, pragmatic, manipulative, obsessive, sarcastic

I don't really see cynicism or pragmatism as negative, that ended up being decided in class.

    Positive - Funny. Good writer. Animal lover. Wear my heart on my sleeve. Supportive.

    Negative - Loud. Extremely opinionated. Foul-mouthed. Phobia of math. Vain.

    I did a similar exercise with my therapist this week, except she wanted me to list all positive. I sat there for the longest time not knowing what to say. 20 minutes later I had six positives (with a little prompting from her)....

    Positives about me:

    I'm resilient
    I'm creative
    I have a good work ethic
    I'm loyal
    I'm feisty

    Negatives about me:

    I am quick to anger
    I have very low self esteem
    I get annoyed easily
    I cuss like a truck driver stuck on a sailor ship
    I speak before I think

    I'll bite.

    Positive: Kind, loving, unselfish, good sense of humor, intelligent.
    Negative: Lost, low self worth, impatient, anxious, easily frustrated

    It was much, much harder to come up with 5 positive ones.
