Ok guys, I have now lost 50 lbs and I have worked out consistantly and counted my calories every day as usual.....I got sick with a virus for a few days and missed about three days of working out, when I started again I gained a few lbs on the scale and now I am at a plateau and I'm holding fluid bad, anyone else have this problem ever??? Its driving me crazy.....my clothes are still fitting loose and Im sure Im down another 5 lbs but my scale is refusing to budge....any suggestions??!!

This is what I use for fluid retention - 100% cranberry juice (from Trader Joe's) and water. For every 7 ounces of water add 1 ounce of 100% cranberry juice (no sweetener). Just ensure that you have a bathroom close by. My scale was stuck for a long time, since drinking this every day, I have lost weight every week.
I make a big jug every day and make it my go to water (refrigerate of course)0 -
Try doing HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) and drinking green tea (it's a metabolism booster and a natural diuretic, so it should help you lose the fluid weight)! I do TurboFire, it comes with a five-day meal plan that has real food! (One meal each day is a shake, but you can substitute with something else because their formulas are expensive). The program is designed to break plateaus and help you to reach your highest potential in fitness!0

If your close are looser than they were before that is great!
As everyone tells me, stop getting hung up on the scale... I am a scale nazi
If you think you are retaining water, you have to flush it out with water... sounds silly but oh soooo true!
Also, if you are doing the same exercises each week you should try to change up the intensity or duration of same.. or try a new class. Shock your body!0 -
Are you keeping an eye on your sodium intake? Or perhaps it's time to start eating more. Just make sure your ratios are good.0

While you may feel well, your body may still be retaining fluid to finish fighting off whatever you had. It's a small "stall" (not a plateau) and not uncommon after recovering from illness.
Just continue and be patient.

a plateau or a stall? I'll go a week every so often with no loss and then bam 4 or 5 pounds drop off. How recently were you ill? You will feel better before you are actually all the way better. And most likely is water weight.. you're body will let it go when it's good and ready to. (bodies are stubborn like that)0
