    I too am 50+. I suggest the treadmill and lap swimming for a good cardio workout. Hope this helps.

  • I'm 49 and joined this site today- I'm finding it difficult to lose weight as I'm getting older. I would love to hear any words of advise or expertise from other members that may help me in my weight lose journey.

    Hi Tom, welcome to MFP. I turn 50 this August. I started just over a year ago when I realized I was approaching 49 and I wanted to get in shape by the time I turned 50. I hit my original weight goal and exceeded my original fitness goals. Now I am working on a few more fitness goals and reducing my body fat a bit more.
