Affirmations

I've recently been thinking about the power of words to change how we think. I've written some affirmations to repeat to myself in hopes that they will remind me of my priorities and help me change how I think.
They are:
- I make healthy choices about when, what, and how much to eat.
- I enjoy exercising regularly.
- When I feel emotions, I experience them wholly and honestly.
- When I struggle with an emotion, I choose to cope with healthy strategies. I breath consciously, meditate, and talk with people I trust.
- I am whole and healthy.
I'm wondering if anyone else has used affirmations in their journey to live healthier. What were they? Did you find them helpful?

Those sound like great helpful affirmations. I attest to the power of affirmations as they have helped me to develop a happy fulfilled life and have now set me on the path to a happy healthy body.
I have health issues which have have created a sedentary lifestyle and to add insult to injury I ate my feelings of frustration and resentment. Talk about cutting your nose off to spite your face. Unfortunately I continued that pattern for years. When I could finally no longer deny my obesity I began to pray for motivation (at that point I knew I was unwilling to take any of steps necessary to change my situation.) As the saying goes be careful what you wish for.... I began having painful debilitating gallbladder problems.
And as cliche as it may sound pain is an amazing motivator. I have had a complete 180 in my willingness to change so I began to employ the best affirmation I ever learned
.
I am willing to release old patterns of thinking which block me from achieving _____________.
This is the one which starts each new area of healing and growth in my life, So far I am still working with this one since its only been a few weeks into this journey. Its amazing all the things I am learning and how different my thinking about food is now. I still recognize the desire to eat my feelings so I may actually adopt some of your affirmations. I will be happy to keep you posted as I develop my affirmations to re-train my brain to treat my body in healthy ways.
I know that when I change the way I think and what I say then I change the way I behave...and that gets results
