clicking joints, anybody any tips?

I’ve been having a lot of trouble lately with my joints, especially my right hip. They click every time I move, they aren’t painful as such but it’s very uncomfortable. My hip keeps popping in and out as well. I have tried fish oils and glucosamine sulphate.
Do you think there is something I could add to my diet that has worked for anyone else to help improve this? I am only 25, I have two small children and it is getting frustrating hobbling around most days. I am thinking about going to see my GP about this week just wondering is there anything else I can try first.

I want to know this too, I constantly click especially when going downstairs.

Especially since other people tend to hear it!

Go see a GP. Their advice will be better than anyone else.

It began for me one day after a run, about 2 months ago and hasn't gone away and has actually gotten worse. People comment on mine too they can be very loud!

I'm no doctor but how is your potassium intake? My shoulders, elbows and hands click too, I slap just on some bengay and load up on bananas and potassium vitamins. Then again, I'm no doctor.

Foods rich in potassium include parsley, dried apricots, dried milk, chocolate, various nuts (especially almonds and pistachios), potatoes, bamboo shoots, bananas, avocados, soybeans, and bran, although it is also present in sufficient quantities in most fruits, vegetables, meat and fish.[70]

From that list I would eat potatoes everyday. I also eat meat and fish and fruit (but mostly berries) maybe I could try bananas, I was avoiding them because of the calories but I have reached my goal weight now and need to up my calories anyway. Thanks for the help

I have the same hip problem, in that it does occasionally pop out and when it does it is nauseatingly painful. I used to also have clicking knees, but know they just crunch ALL time time and it is audible.

TBH I got zero benefit from taking Glucosamine but I seem to habitually continue anyhow :-/

See a doctor who may end up referring you to someone else - e.g. MRI or physio. Whether it is very painful today or not, there are definitely signs that it could be one day. Better to be safe than sorry.

Personally, I have a diagnosis of long-term problems with my hips and knees but won't share as your situation may genuinely boil down to needing simple rest or knee strengthening exercises.

Book an appointment sooner rather than later to put your mind at rest.

Thanks, my knees especially my right is the worst after my hip. My hip sometimes makes me feel nauseous; it’s not really a pain more like a discomfort of what feels like bones rubbing together. I am off work at the end of the week and will book in with my GP. Thanks again for the advice.
