Sorry in advance :) Exercise Logging

Options
Hi there,

Sorry to post something I'm sure will annoy a lot of people because it seems like topics like this are discussed to death but i couldn't find something specifically that was what i was after.

When I put in my activity level, does that take into account the exercise I do also? I know on this website it seems like activity level is more centered on what you do for a job but on lots and lots of other websites and daily calorie needs calculators, it seems like they are used for your overall calorie expenditure, not just part of the day.

I suppose what I'm trying to ask is -

If I am a bit of gym bunny and highly active outside of work, does that make me "active" even though I work at an office during they day so i choose "active" and don't log my exercise?

OR do I choose "sedentary" and log my exercise?

Honestly, this has puzzled me for ages.

Thank you so much in advance for any light you can shed on this :)

the idea on myfitnesspal is to log "exercise activity" and it adjusts your calorie numbers accordingly.

So the baseline energy use should be without the exercise activity ie your standard routine activity level without what you're going to class as "exercise".
