So been doing P90X for 5 weeks now. I am 6'2" and was at 226. Really hoping to get into the 180's. After 5 weeks of keeping to the plan and the eating plan ( although not quite at much protein as they want because I just could not eat 300 grams a day, I have seen changes in my body, but only lost 3 lbs. I know that the changes are what I am really after, but I would still love to see that scale go down. I have been trying to have a daily net calories of 1600 and have hit it most days. After 5 weeks I would have liked to have lost at least a pound a week. Very frustrating, but I am going to keep going.

It's really, really hard to lose fat while gaining muscle at the same time. Especially since we're all so scale focused, even though just getting skinny isn't what we really want in the long run.
I lost a bunch but am now on maintenance for 12 weeks while I work on New Rules of Lifting for Women. At the end of 12 weeks, I'll do a body composition test and see whether I want to continue with the program or just maintain my muscle gains while I cut fat again to get to my desired bf%.
Of course, I'm 5'9" and have been in pretty good shape most of my life, so I really LIKE being the thin woman who secretly weighs 165 pounds (or whatever I end up at this time).
I'm glad you're going to keep going. Keep looking at the motivation and success story threads. Every once in awhile you'll see somebody who has had absolutely no scale weight change, but a massive transformation. It really helps you identify what your goals are.0
