Is this too much for my first week?

Hey guys!
I'm new here. I was poking around the internet for some advice as I just started my lifestyle change a little over 2 weeks ago. I did my first official weigh in last saturday (May 11th) and I weighed in at 224lbs and used that as my starting weight since I didn't weigh myself before I started the change.
Yesterday morning I weighed myself and I weighed 217.8lbs. So I lost around 7lbs my first week. That seems a little excessive to me. I know that usually 1lb a week is normal and healthy. I know im on the heavier side but was wondering if maybe so seasoned pros could give me some insight, like maybe its just bloat weight and water weight? Also Im 27 years old and Im 5'6.
Any help you guys could give me would be great:)

A big loss in the first week is fairly normal. (: Most of it is water weight with some fat loss. Also, the more you have to lose, the more likely that you'll lose more in one week than someone who has 10 lbs. to lose. As you continue, you'll find the weight loss slow down quite a bit, and as you get closer to your goal, the 1 lb. guideline will apply more. As long as you're eating enough calories based on MFP or what you've calculated as your deficit, you should be fine.0
