Silly Question about Weights??

Okay so just wondering. I would assume lifting weights would burn calories as well...but I noticed that myfitness doesn't count them? Do they not burn calories??

    They do. But you should get an inexpensive heart rate monitor to see how many. Then, add strength training to your cardio category so you have a place to record the expended calories.

    MFP does a reasonable job of estimating calories burned from strength training. You'll find it in the exercise tab, database tab, dropdown menu "strength training" and based on the time you provide and current bodyweight, will calculate an estimate of calories burned.
