swimmers and conditioner

Swimmers please don't believe the myth that putting conditioner in your hair before getting in the pool keeps the chlorine out. It really doesn't, what happens is the conditioner comes out in the pool and we all get to absorb the chemicals and perfumes, and if you are allergic to said perfumes or chemicals and someone else does that, then you get to leave the pool before your workout is done feeling nauseous and with a headache.

Get a good cap, wet and rinse your hair before putting the cap on. After swimming wash your hair with a good chlorine removing shampoo, then condition it. If you really want it to stay nice and healthy, put coconut oil on your hair once a week and leave in for 30 min then rinse out.

Thank you all, those of us who have allergies and swim appreciate it.
