Correct calorie counting

I just started MFP and I'm riding my recumbent stationary bike for exercise. I did 40 minutes today and the counter on my bike says I burned 150 calories but the counter on MFP says 250. Any tips for accurate counting?

Invest in a heart rate monitor, MFP tends to overestimate on calories burned, or just don't eat back your exercise cals and it wont make a difference if you know how much you burned or not0

Either choose a number between the two, or pick one. Whichever way you choose, stick with that so you know what's working.
I lost all my weight using MFP's numbers and eating every single exercise calorie. Keep it simple. Just keep track and adjust after a month if it isn't working.0
