Help...better eating and exercise recommendations

Hello...since I have joined in March I have lost 2 pounds. I exercise everyday about 500 calories using a treadmill (walking), and elliptical simulating a hill climb. I normally stay within the recommended calories by my fitness pal. What else can I do? I have three weddings in June! Any exercise tips or healthy eating tips would be great! Thank you! :)

How has your food consumption been? Have you been tracking with your diary? The exercise is definitely very helpful, but it doesn't have as much of an effect if you're not eating at a deficit (and that deficit would include your exercise calories).

It's hard to give eating suggestions when your diary is closed. Eat clean, no soda or processed food, drink water, and log everything.

how do you open your diary?
  • hit the weights. I know it can be intimidating starting to lift weights but everyone starts somewhere. Lifting weights will actually burn more calories in a short amount of time. Also I believe that doing cardio after lifting is more beneficial due to your heart rate already being elevated.
  • Check out blogilates.com, or type Blogilates into Youtube. Cassey has meal plans and tons of killer exercise videos. The videos will help you shape up much more than a treadmill or elliptical machine will. There is a monthly calendar for workouts that you can follow She has several different meals plans, so pick one that fits you (plus she has great recipes!). She also has a 90 day challenge and an 8 week "bikini blaster."

Look into it, it is totally AWESOME!

I would recommend to get your Thyroid checked, going Glutten Free will help. Just a though! :)

**Most of the time when you are trying to lose weight and your doing your best and no results it can mean a Thyroid or hormonal imbalance**

Not eating enough can cause plateaus. Check your BMR (basal metabolic rate) ..... calories needed if you were in a coma

You should be eating at least your BMR + exercise calories. Eating back exercise calories can be tricky ..... many machines & MFP exaggerate calorie burns ... use a heart rate monitor or be conservative.
