First hot and muggy run of the year

Today is the first flat out hot and muggy day of the year where I am. This is the time of year when I gave up running the last go round. I've already been running less than I should be since spring hit (although I did awesome through the winter!). Can anybody help me out with some motivation to continue to push through and acclimate to the weather? Much appreciated!

find a race your comfortable running and train for it.. It has begun getting hot here as well and I just run at night now.. Right before it gets dark. Stick with it... Running is the best therapy!

Early mornings! I actually skipped my run this morning outside b/c it was too muggy. I normally run at 5a, but it was about to rain so it was so humid. ICK If I go any later than 7a....I'm dying out there.

Either really early runs or hit the treadmill.

I live in Atlanta so I know where you're coming from. This time of year I run in the morning before the sun rises. That is tipically the coolest time of the day.

I live in Mississippi and we ran at 6:00 this morning. We almost waited too long. Uncomfortably hot and humid. We will have to begin our 5:00 am runs this week I am afraid. If we don't run then, it does not happen. So, we are turning into early birds!

Thanks, guys! Louisiana here. Gotta love the south, huh? Ugh, I do so much better with exercising after work, but I know you are right. Mornings are the way to go. I guess even just doing 20-30 min in the morning is better than chickening out in the afternoon. I'll set my alarm for 6 tomorrow.
