Can some body please explain macros (as if calories isnt enough to think about :laugh: )

    It's the percentage of carbs, protein and fat that make up your calories. The ideal macro ratio is an individual thing and will vary based on what kind of plan someone is following, what their work out regiment is etc.

    this. if you eat 1600 calories and you macro split was like 30% protein 40% carbs and 30%fats, then 480 calories would be protein and 640 calories would be carbs and 480 calories would be fats

    1 gram of protein = 4 calories
    1 gram of carbs = 4 calories
    1 gram of fat = 9 calories

    this is just a rounded estimate of what most protein carbs and fats are calorie wise, thast why sometimes when you trying to hit your macros it doesnt add up to your calories but comes close. i personally try to hit my macros rather then my calories
