Emotionally ate today- feel gross...

Ugh, I had a terrible day, came home, made chocolate chip cookies and went to town. I feel so gross and am really hating myself for it. I am trying to drink tons of water now to see if that helps but I feel like I need a diet overhaul regardless. Anyone have suggestions on where to look to find some clean eating plans? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You just set yourself up for an unhealthy cycle if every time you have a bad day, you hunt for a new diet plan.
That is part of the basis of the whole yo-yo dieting ethos.
I suggest you put it down to experience, maybe work more on the emotional side of things and finding better ways of dealing with that. and carry on.

I have a "terrible" day every once in a while. I just get back on track the next day. In the past I would let a bad day ruine my week. Not anymore! Reset your brain to HEALTHY CHOICES and push forward.

Hmm, I had one of those days yesterday. I ate a 200g bar of chocolate while watching a dvd. Today, back to healthy stuff. No point dwelling on it, as long as the bad days are rare, you'll be fine. Start fresh tomorrow. Chin up :flowerforyou:

I used to binge eat alot, but I have been allowing myself a calorie bank at the end of the day where I can enjoy some junk food guilt free. It has worked great for allowing good food in moderation without going overboard.

Next time, make those cookies and spread them out over 7 days or something and enjoy 7 times instead of loathe them once.

I agree with this statement. I ate a whole bag of Doritos to myself last night before bed, felt terrible, but they where sooooo good. Today, I just jump right back on track, there's no point on dwelling, just do what Dory says - just keep swimming. :)

Thanks for the support, everyone! I dont do this very often...just made some bad choices and wanted to get it off my chest.

I guess what I meant when I said "diet overhaul"" was that I was looking to pursue a more clean eating menu and was looking for suggestions. I'd like to eat less processed foods. I know this is a lifestyle change...have been at this since I have my daughter in October, I know there is no quick fix.
