Race Day Question; Why can't the sensor see me?

Okay, so this has beyond a fluke and is becoming a trend. Hopefully, someone has some tips.
Basically, the problem is that I don't seem to show up on the "official results" of a race. The sensor at the finish line doesn't seem to pick up my bib. This is pretty frustrating. I have to email and they review the video tape and POOF there I am running along,,,
So I am wondering if anyone has encountered this?
I wear a race belt with tabs that my bib hangs from.
I register at the start. It always shows my start time.
I am there at the half, shows up again.
Then finish line, presto chango I am invisible.
This has happened on 5k, 10K and Half Marathon. It has happened with 2 different timing systems.
Can it be interference from my iphone? I am running Nike+, I usually start it as I cross the start line.
Any tips would be awesome.

I have never heard of that.
I do have a coworker who swears his body's electro whatever affects electronics. He can't wear a watch. I've run a couple with my iPhone and no such issues.
Is it the same timing company or workers? Maybe you PO'd the timer or he thinks your someone else?

difference companies. Different locales.
Different workers it would seem.0 -
Wow that is strange! The only thing I can think of is if you are "messing" with a watch or something at the finish line and your arm blocks your bib...but it would seem strange for that to happen so many times...0

Are you picking up the racing chip? Some bibs have them attached to them, others you have to attach to your ankle or your shoe laces? Usually the bib is picked up a day or so in advance, and the chip just before the race begins.0
