Bad circulation in butt and thighs??

Hi ya'll. Has anyone experienced slight pain in the back of their upper thighs, or in the butt/hip area when sitting down? I'm wondering if its related to circulation or if it could be the nervous system?

I've never had this problem before, but over the past couple months I've started to experience discomfort back there and I've noticed it particularly after I've been sitting for a long period of time (or crossing my legs). I don't see any discoloration... wondering if maybe I just need to do some stretching. Its kind of a tight, pinching feeling that can be uncomfortable.

Side note- I'm not looking for a diagnosis here, just hoping to hear if anyone has ever experienced this and if its something to be alarmed about. Its not super painful... just noticeable.

Sitting for too long can tighten the piriformis muscle across the sciatic nerve. You're instinct to stretch more is right if that's what you're experiencing. That's the solution my doctor gave me. I skipped the xrays she ordered when the stretching helped. Of course, if stretching doesn't help for you, get in to see your doc.

Just out of curiosity, why would your first thought be poor circulation? That would cause coldness or numbness, typically.

Also, in before "I could help you with your butt circulation"

I'm not sure if it's the same problem, but I have pain/tingling. It kind of pinches for awhile then my whole butt and all the way down my leg goes numb. It's odd. I think part of it might have been my workstation at my old job. Once I got an ergonomic upgrade (better desk, right chair height, etc.) some if it went away. I also have to be careful to sit centered, not off to one side. I always figured it was just a pinched nerve.
