Not sure if you can get it there but PB2 is Amazing, very tasty and 45 calories for 2 Tablespoons.
This..I LOVE this stuff....I even cook Thai food with it...
I wish I could talk the company into doing a similar thing with Hazelnuts so you have a nutella replacement...0 -
Firstly, yep PB2 is alright, if you want a ton of PB and no calories, go for it. You can get it for about £7 a jar in the UK. However, it has hardly any protein in it, and I would rather eat proper stuff
so PB2 has 5 grams of protein for 45 calories for 2 tablespoons where your "proper stuff" has 7 grams of protein for 180 calories for 2 tablespoons.
I do not see the big difference in anything but the calories and fat. Although at that price I would probably eat regular peanut butter as it is nowhere near that expensive here in the States.
£7 a jar, that's like $10.00! yikes!! I think I'll stick with my 100% organic Peanuts + Salt for less $$.0 -
I bought "Peanut Butter & Co - Old Fashioned Crunchy 100% Peanut Butter" from Selfridges in London.
Just peanuts and a little salt. Tastes good but it is a bit too runny.0 -

PB2 is about $5 a jar at Walmart. Not bad really. I love it in my protein shakes. They taste sooo yummy0 -

Actually I just checked and gram for gram it has less! I was wrong. Although 12g makes 2 tablespoons full and 12g of real PB is about 2/3 teaspoon. PB2 is not bad though, I use it in smoothies and protein bars but it is ridiculously expensive here. And I still prefer the taste and texture of proper PB. Plus I usually have the calories to spare, I might as well go full fat.
For comparison:
Pb2 12 g dry - 45cals 5g carbs/ 2g fat/ 5g protein/ 94mg salt/ 2g fibre
Meridian 12 g - 69cals 1g carbs/ 6g fat/ 4g protein/ 1mg salt/ 1g fibre0 -
