Feeling guilty

I have joined gym this week and was doing really good . Even today I was so inspired to go gym during the lunch break. But after the workout I was feeling empty and wanted to eat something and ended up in office cantene eating chips, baked beans and an apple crump with custard sauce. Once I bought the plate , I felt really bad. I ate t he food with a guilty conscious.
I felt like all the hard work that I have done has been wasted. I do not want this to happen. Please friends I need some motivation and support to keep going.

You are going to have days like this from time to time, but it is not the end of the world! If you beat yourself up about it too much it will really deteriorate your motivation. Keep your head up!0

I think we have all been there at least once in our journey. I personally have done horribly but every time I binge I remind myself that I need to get back on track. It sucks but you have to shake it off and keep going. Someone once shared a very motivational quote with me that helps me get through those types of situations
If you fall half way down the stairs, should you pick yourself up and throw yourself the rest of the way down?
Good Luck, and Don’t Give up 0 -
Focus on the progress you've made so far! We all have days like this. I had a binge last night, but have to pick myself up and move on. Lessons learned through our mistakes.0

Just record what you ate on here and think of the bigger picture - a day's over eating will not set you back AT ALL. A year's overeating? Well that's how most of us got here. But one day going mad is not an excuse to give up!!!!
I think you need to look at what you have been trying to do and think about whether it is realistic. Part of setting goals is to make the goals not only achievable ( I can lose 10lb in two weeks, I can go to the gym 5x a week and workout for 1 and a half hours) but also realistic (how will I feel eating so little that I lose 10lbs in 2 weeks? Will I be so exhausted by those workouts that I give up after a week?)
Take small steps. If you've got a fair bit to lose, a small step will be 2 lb a week. If less than 20lb to lose, 1 lb a week is realistic. Eat the calories that MFP allows you, including the exercise calories. If you do want to achieve 5 gym sessions a week then you'll need to fuel that body! Don't be afraid to eat. Check out the Eat more to lose weight threads - very enlightening

Thanks everyone.
Never in my life I was so motivated to shed some weight. I am doing this for kids, so I need to forget about what happened today and need to move on. Thanks once again0 -
I completely agree with you. What I am missing is plan as to what need to be done. I will definitely come up with some workout plan which I think I can follow without getting tired. Thanks for the tips0

You need to move on and forget about the past. Each day is a new day. You should eat a fruit before you work out and then your lunch after your workout. That way you are not hungry before or after your workout. Try and pack alot of healthy snacks that way if you are hungry you have something healthy to reach out for.0
