Am I Doing Enough?

About two weeks ago, I started hooping with a 2lb hula hoop. I've lost about 10 pounds, except I got on the scale this morning and it ready two lbs heavier than where I was last Thursday.
I sweat like a maniac when doing this, and according to a few sites, the average burn per 10 minutes is 89 calories. I usually hoop at least a half hour per day.
So my question is, is this enough? I FEEL like it is, but my scale seems to be telling me otherwise. I do have a little bit of a night eating issue and ate two brownies before bed last night, so there's something I will admit to.
My fiance says any movement with sweat and a higher heart rate is exercise, I think I just need some others to tell me the same or not.
Thanks in advance!

Depends - enough for what? Enough for right now - probably. But your body will start to get used to the exercise, and you'll need to up the intensity/switch it up or something. I doubt those 2 lbs. are "real" unless you've been pigging out or there's somethign else going on - probably just a usual fluctuation.0

Doesn't seem like you are eating enough. Before I found these boards, I was doing the standard 1200 calories that MFP gave me.. but then I learned about TDEE and get my calories by doing my TDEE-20%. I have lost 2 more pounds doing thi, just in the last 2 weeks when I was at a standstill for a while..
Your scale this morning could also reflect water retention from the high sodium day you had yesterday. I recommend drinking lemon water or weightless tea to help with water retention.0 -

This makes so much sense - thanks a lot for the bit of insight. I did have a bit of a high sodium day yesterday. Lemon water all day today and I'll look into that weightless tea!0 -
Hi lady
For now, focus on logging your food everyday and getting your sweat on as often as you can. I went from 224 to 164 in under a year. When I started, I did the 30 Day Shred every other day, with water aerobics 1 day a week. Add more when you are ready for the challenge. Don't worry about the scale. Take pics NOW and make sure you're eating enough. You are doing great.0 -

Do you use a heart rate monitor? You may be over estimating the number of calories you are actually burning and eating back too many. That was my issue when I first started on here.0 -

This was also what I was thinking - I need to get a heart rate monitor...next paycheck
Thank you so much for your help everyone!0
