I made meal plans and cut my calories down to ~1200 a day. I lost 17 or so pounds right away in the first 4-7 days but it has slowed down massively without me changing anything I'm doing. It's pretty steady though I'm losing about a pound a day or just under a pound. It's harder to keep myself motivated when the losses slowed down but I've stayed strict and I haven't strayed from my meal plans or calorie count one bit. I decided to make a post to invite some people to be my friends to help keep track of each other and stay motivated.
I'm not very outgoing and still ashamed for some reason that I've "resorted" to counting calories so it was harder than it should have been for me to make this post. I've always held my weight really well due to my weightlifting background, nobody would guess I weighed so much but when I was so close to 300 lbs a while ago I decided I needed a serious change.
Might be worth noting I was packing 4-5 grand calories a day before I started this.

You're not losing a pound of fat a day. What you're seeing is loss of water weight and natural weight fluctuation. In order to lose a pound of fat a day, you'd have to have a deficit of 3500 calories.0

21 lbs total minus the first 17 leaves 4 lbs, I was just averaging out those 4 lbs over the past 4-5 days. I drink stupid amounts of water, it's how I quell my appetite at night.0
