  • you have to eat a a deficit so if your eating 2000 calories and not working out and your bmr is say 1400 you will gain if you eat at your bmr you will maintain if you eat 250-500 deficit from your bmr+amr to activity you will lose wieight

    I think you mean TDEE, not BMR.

    you will maintain eating your Total Daily Energy Expenditure. Your Basal Metabolic Rate is what you will burn laying in bed all day. Your calories consumed should be between the two

    I think you might have BMR confused with TDEE. BMR is the number of calories you'd burn in a coma. The only way you'd gain/maintain by eating your BMR is by actually being in a coma. TDEE is the number of calories you need to eat to maintain your current weight.
