help need help big time

Hi I haven't used MFP in awhile and I know it works but now I'm pregnant and I couldn't be happier but I'm also almost back to my start weight. I'm 5 months pregnant and I've gained 19 lbs making it 228, I was just wondering before I wasn't preggos I was eating 1200 I heard you should only up your calories to 300 more so should I eat 1500 or how many I know I should ask my doctor but I always forget or I'm embarrassed. so if any one can help I would so much appreciate it. Please help me. Any suggestions needed

Please talk to your doctor...this isn't the time to be worrying about losing weight. You don't want to gain too much of course, but you need awesome nutrition right now! No reason to be embarrassed...talk to your doctor!

Talk to your doctor but you should know that the extra 300 should be on top of your maintenance, not just added to the cal count that gives you a deficit (ie not just added to 1200)

    .
You're supposed to be gain around 25-35 pounds during pregnancy. I always gained around 40, and 30 of it would come back off in a few weeks after giving birth.

It sounds like you are trying to lose weight while pregnant with those calories. Since your baby needs Nutrients to develop properly, that's really unwise,

Talk to your doctor. I know 20 years ago when I was pregnant with my son I was told to gain little to no weight, but I was very heavy at the time. I believe that 15-25 pound gain is usually encouraged, but the only way you can be sure is to talk to your doctor and explain your concerns to him/her. Congratulations on your pregnancy though!
