Weighing food cooked or pre cooked

What does everyone else do?
I would've thought cooked as pre cooked food has a lot of moisture ie potatoes, chicken, sausages but now I'm wondering because of the nutritional info on food packages?

If you're buying something uncooked the nutritional info would relate to how it is when sold, i.e. uncooked (e.g.. with meat) unless stated otherwise. If the item is ready cooked the info will relate to it being in the cooked state.
There are multiple database entries for each food item, some will be for cooked and some uncooked. Eg with vegetables there may be an entry for raw, steamed, fried, etc. all will have different nutritional values.0 -
Sometimes it will specify, but I agree the packages usually refer to uncooked. If you have a choice e.g. rice I would opt for uncooked weight because the cooking process will change the weight. For example, if I cook my rice for 5 minutes longer it will absorb more water and weigh more cooked but that weight would be water. Hope that makes sense.0

As above, uncooked because cooking process may change weight, for instance dried pulses, just by re- hydrating water & hence weight is added0
