Energy shots/drinks- yea or nay?

Options
So I have recently found an.. Well I wouldnt really say addiction... But a rather fond appreciation for - energy shots/drinks for a quick pick-me-up/wake-me-up boost of energy. Things like 'Five Hour' (gross but they work), Stacker 2 "Xtra Energy Shot' Mountain Dews new 'KickStart' and Starbucks Energy Drinks. I stay away from the more 'mainstream' energy drinks like RedBull Monster and Rockstar mainly because I dont like the taste.

I dunno if these are super bad, okay or good for me. They seem to have a lot of ok things in them. For example, the xtra energy shot Orange flavor by slacker 2 has the following:
Niacin (as in niacinamine) 20mg (100% dv)
Vitamin B6 (as in pyridoxide hydrochloride) 40mg (2000% dv)
Folic acid (100% dv)
Vitamin B12 (as in cyanocobalamin) (8333% dv)
Sodium 10mg (<1% dv)
Proprietary energy blend 2125mg
(Taurine, Malic acid, caffeine, glucuronolactone, N-Actyl, L-Tyrosine, L-Phenylalanine)
Enzyme blend 1mg
(Amylase, protease, lipase, cellulase, lactase)

Ingredients:
filtered water, natural and artificial flavors, potassium sorbate & sodium benzoate
(to protect freshness) sucralose, fd&c yellow#6

How do you feel about energy drinks/shots? Good? Bad?

Disclaimer: I do NOT have one everyday. Maybe four times a week and never more than two in a single day. I would drink coffee but it hasnt agreed with me as of late so I am trying to avoid it.

    They're fine.

Diet red bull is one of the main reasons my work outs are so effective.

I can't really drink energy drinks anymore because they give me crazy heartburn, but I basically live on 5 hour energy when I have a busy work week.

if extra energy is all you are after, a little pick me up, or a quick boost for a work out, theres nothing better then a highly concentrated source of caffeiene or glucose.

Just dont drink them to walk to the shops, or sit at your desk or any other normal activity, save the boost for something more intense :)
