Starting out on my journey to be fit and healthy

Many moons ago, I used to be a multisport athlete (baseball, basketball, soccer, etc). However, with between my career, partying, and life in general has literally weighed me down over the years. After countless times saying to myself I would get back into shape for the annual nye resolution, I finally made good on it this year. While exercise and lifting weights has helped to burn off fat, I've struggled to lose weight until I started using myfitnesspal to analyze what I consume everyday. Since using this a couple of weeks ago, I've finally started turning the tide on the scales. I'm hoping to share my experience, to learn, and to help others when/where I can.
