 Head over to bed bath and beyond. they have a pretty good selection of food scales from Salter. I got a great one for 29.99. But they have several different models rangeing from 8 buck to 70.00. The Salter for 29.99 works great for us. Pretty stylish looking too. Hope this helps

    Amazon.com

They have 25-30 listed from $12 - $50. I bought a $30 one, I would recommend buying one with a bowl that sits on top. Also get one that measures grams and ounces. Mine goes to 11 pounds.

I got mine last weekend at walmart! it is digital, shows oz or g, weighs up to 16 lbs, and is a platform, not a bowl attached (some are, the reason I didn't want a bowwl is because I bought it mostly to measure meat...... I just find it easier to set on top of a platform  of course you can weigh something in a bowl, you just have to subtract the weight of the bowl)... it cost me 18.99 canadian and it works GREAT. They had a large assortment ranging from 5.99 to 29.99!

Thanks so much everyone! Going to town tomorrow, so maybe I'll be able to pick one up.
