Losing Track

I've been using the iphone app on and off for the last few years however in the last few months I've realised I need to seriously sort myself out so I'm looking at this is a new light now - long term healthy lifestyle change.
I've been doing really well - lost 8lbs in the last 5 weeks however at the weekend I went out for a girls night and on the sunday I had major hangover munchies. Since then I have felt exhausted and hungry all the time and as a result I've gained a couple of pounds..........which in turn has left me also feeling a bit of a failure.
Does anyone have any hints and tips to get me back on track, get rid of the hunger pangs, etc?
