Sleep and Weight Loss

Hi everybody,
I understand that sleep duration varies due to schedule, health, way of life, age, routine and so on.
But I was wondering, have you seen any significant difference after you changed your sleeping habits?
Positive or negative?

Thank you all in advance

Not getting enough sleep hinders weight loss for me. During weeks when I'm sleep deprived the scale doesn't move even if I'm exercising and maintaining a caloric deficit. But after a few days of adequate rest, I notice the scale moving downward again. Granted, it's not hard scientific evidence as there could be multiple reasons why I experience this pattern but I suspect getting enough sleep has something to do with it.

    Thanks for your reply,

I knew it in theory too that getting less sleep wont help with weight loss but it seems like it is counter productive.
Last year when I was sleeping a little more and had a little less stress it was much easier to lose weight.
    This year so far sucks!

I think I am going to experiment with:
Less exercise and more sleep for a couple of weeks to see if I have better results.

This explains a lot!!! I have a really hard time sleeping and probably get about 4hrs a night!! I am going to double up to the recommended amount and see if it helps me have a break through!! Thanks a million!!:flowerforyou:
