Opinions on weightloss bootcamps

I was wondering what people's general opinions were of weightloss bootcamps? Sure they sound great, intensive training means that you're entirely focused on weightloss for that period of time and the results are fast. However, I was thinking that surely such extensive weightloss is resultant from loss of muscle mass too? Which is something I don't really want. Is that kind of rapid weightloss even safe? Also when you came off their strict diet regime, surely it would be put back on quickly? Also super expensive.
