Eating my feelings?

Recently, a friend of mine suggested that perhaps part of my issue with weight loss is that I "eat my feelings". I had no idea I was doing this. But she insists that it's true, and she's actually seen me do it. I was consuming all these unseen calories--I had no idea!

So my question is: how do I log the calories for these feelings? I have no idea how to measure this! Is it by weight or length of time or, perhaps, intensity? I checked the database, and I couldn't find results for "my husband doesn't bring me flowers anymore" or "my 13 year old daughter got a tattoo". Even generic terms like "rip your face off" and "feeling sorry for myself" aren't there. I don't know what to do!

How do you guys log these calories? And can you eat back your feelings when you exercise? I'm so confused...

Help? Please?
