Day 3 of waking up with a MIgrane!!

I believe this is a caffeine withdrawl..Any suggestions? I have taken over the counter migraine pills but really wanna avoid the coke/coffee road if possible.

If it's caffeine, it should only last a day or two. You can use Ibuprofen, or just drink lots and lots of water. What other dietary changes have you made recently? Are you getting enough sleep?

    Can you taper off?

And with this diet change, have you changed your evening meal amount, type, timing? What happens the night before usually is gonig to effect you more on waking up.

Drink lots of water it does take time, or just slowly ween yourself down. If you reallly want to ditch all caffeine watch out for headache meds some contain caffeine read the labels.

Took me three weeks ob Advil to get over the caffeine. I was hardcore Pepsi and tea. But it was SOOO worth it!! It will pass.

About the same with meals, sleep changes from day to day since I have a baby though. Some days I sleep all night and others I am up all night. Been sleeping well lately. I had tea hoping that would help but i was a die hard Monster drinker like 2 a day kinda drinker so I am really missing them
  • They make OTC (over the counter) migraine pills with caffeine. I've had to take those for tension headaches.

I use essential oil to cure my migraines and headaches, so I can't tell you what pills I use, since there are none.

But I suggest tapering down the caffeine until it's where you want it. Mu dad has the same issue - he has typically 5 cups of coffee a day, and last week he was hospitalized with an infected gallbladder (not related to the caffeine), but he couldn't have any food or water for 24 hours until the surgery. His headaches lasted about 3 days, then they stopped.

Or, not that this is the healthiest route, but sub in some chocolate. Maybe it'll take the edge off just a little.

Geez, I feel your pain...literally!!, This is MY day three of a migraine too...my FIRST functional day...the problem is that OTC meds can lead to rebound headaches and migraines. Are you on any prescriptions for them? (PS forgive my spelling - a side effect of my not being quite with it due to my current migraine  ).

I have found that getting and staying hydrated enough is one of the best ways to beat it, along with resting in a dark quiet room if possible. if you are into non-medicinal remedies, there is an OTC topical/aeroma therapy called MigraStick that is essential oil of lavender and peppermint that helps.

if you believe its the caffiene, maybe try introducing a little back - some chocolate a little coffee perhaps?

These are just suggestions that work for me...i hope you find relief!

i have found that sinus meds help me, but i happen to have a sinus issue that causes mine (along with a ton other triggers)

(and again, forgive the spelling, grammar etc - my migraine is not making me the best typist today...lol)
