HI, so I've been hitting cardio daily with things like zumba, and the eliptical, and I use biggest loser (on the kinect) which I guess is considered circuit training? I don't have access to a gym right now and I don't have much for weights at the house (I have a 3 lb dumbell) Was hoping to get any ideas for strength exercises that can help me start to build muscle tone alone with my cardio workouts that use my weight as the main source lol. I was originally going to skip the strength part because I have naturally big thighs and butt (which drove me crazy when I was in high school at my optimal weight), but I was told that I need to include these and just "go" with what I was given Sooo any suggestions for exercises would be great (I already know about squats, lunges and wall sits) but looking for more so I don't get bored lol

I recommend kettlebells...I have this DVD that allows me to do both strength and cardio...

It has 5 segments, each one is 10 mins, and you can pick and choose which one you want. Also, if you don't have any kettlebells, you can use free weights.0 -
youtube has a wealth of exercise videos to choose from to firm yourself up at home.0

My favorite website for strength/crossfit workouts is
http://zuzkalight.com/category/workout/
She has some amazing and very challenging workouts. I am definitely not at her level of fitness, but she usually shows variations for beginners.

You probably have all kinds of things around your house that you can use in place of weights. Cement blocks, bags of gravel or sand, jugs of water, etc..... There's always something heavy that you can lift.0

Agreed. If kettlebells are too pricey at the moment, go buy a 20 lb bag of rice for $10.0 -
