Hey,

I made these last night and I thought it came out pretty good so I thought I'd share.

Lentils (1 cup)
Onions (half)
Carrots (whole)
Yellow Bell pepper (half)
beef flavouring (I used Better Than Bouillon, Vegetarian, No Beef Base)
Egg
Ener-g gluten free crumbs (1/4 cup)

The quantities doesn't really matter that much, but I included them in brackets.

Saute the onions, carrots and yellow pepper. Cook the lentils till soft and blend. Then easy peasy just mix all ingredients together and form patties. I used my griller, but bake or fry as you please.

Nutritional information according to MFP

.......... Kcals C F P Iron Fiber
Total: 559 85 13 27 52 27
1 Serving:93 14 2 5 9 5

I make chana/chickpea burgers also, but they usually flop lol so yes you can't really go wrong here and they have really helped me get my iron intake up!

PS: it comes out to 6 burgers

I forgot to say you can add a half a cup of oats (blend it with the lentils). That will change the nutritional value slightly.

Cool, thanks for posting. :flowerforyou: I eat lentils almost every day and will modify this a little and try it this week (no beef flavoring or crumbs -- hope it will work).
