Hello everyone,
I'm new to dieting and excuse me if this topic has already been posted.
Are all calories handled the same way?
Is having a cup of milk which equals 200-300 calories the same as having a chocolate doughnut that's 250 calories? (When it comes to burning to lose fat)
I'm focused on losing fat .
Shall I just be concerned about the AMOUNT of calories I intake regardless of where they're coming from?
I'm not worried about health since I get enough nutrients and I only eat natural fresh food.
Thanks for your help in advance.

I have read both things. I have wondered whether 300 calories from alchohol is processed the same as 300 from a burger. What I do believe based on past experience is this: calories from eating junk food (sugar and carbs etc) seems to leave you feeling like you need to eat more. 300 calories from something with protein or fiber tends to make you feel fuller, therefore you stop eating - resulting in lower caloric intake because you just don't want more.
make any sense? I tried this experiment with my SIL. She craves sweet stuff, but when she gave up that stuff for a while - her cravings stopped. I personally stay away from most of that stuff most of the time because for me - first - I don't really like it all that much - but mainly - eating junk food begets wanting more junk food. like smoking. or drinking - one leads to wanting another. This is for me. may not work that way for everyone.......................so I just don't go there very often................0
