FYI on water weight percentage using scale

My WW watcher scale measures 5 things. one of those is water weight %. I have asked several times here for info on what the water % means since as my weight goes down (or even stays the same) my water % has been going up. I didn't know if I was waterlogged or what was causing that number to go up.
I gave up asking here because apparently no one knew. I just did some online research and here is what I learned from the Livestrong website. very encouraging to me.: What I learned from this is that while my weight may be going down slowly, apparently my muscle mass is increasing. That explains why when I don't lose a pound - but my clothes fit better - the exercise I'm doing is actually paying off........................ YAY!
Ideal water weight percentages for women are charted identically by Gripiron Fitness League and Bella Online. Since increased body fat percentages automatically yield lower water weight percentages, the highest water weight levels, 58 to 70 percent, are assigned to women with 4 to 20 percent body fat, and the lowest, 37 to 49 percent, are assigned to women 33 percent fat and above. Female athletes' optimal water weights should therefore fall within the 58 to 70 percent range, and the high-fat women's levels should fall within the 37 to 49 percent range.
Another FYI: There is a TON of information on the Livestrong site................
