Hip Hop Abs

I started my new weight loss program this week. I am doing hip hop abs every day (following their recommended calendar) and adding extra workouts to each day as i see fit.. I am cutting calories and trying to eat better and measure portions. I know its only been a week I actually have lost about 2 inches around my waist and hips but have gained 3 lbs!! Is that normal??

I know we all want immediate results and that's not normal so i am trying to stay away from the scale and keep trucking along.. Anyone else here have good results using hip hop abs??
