Alternative to Whey Protein?

I need an alternative to protein powder, something quick and easy to digest. I know I can slap a chicken breast on my plate, but who wants to do that at 9:00 pm after a workout? My guts aren't liking the whey protein powder anymore. I try to get my protein in BEFORE my workout, but I need something to boost it after. Am I resigned to choking down a couple of boiled eggs?

Thank you in advance for any constructive suggestions.

P.S. I don't eat any form of dairy or red meat

Oh man, constructive... that makes responses difficult.

Have you tried any of the myriad other types of protein powders on the market that range from casein to soy? Have you tried multiple manufacturers? Different manufacturers have different levels of quality. I can't drink most whey proteins without having some stomach issues with the exception of met-rx and Optimum Nutrition. ON also happens to be one of the best on the market.

What about those little containers of seasoned tuna? All you have to do is crack it open and get a fork.
