I keep going back and forth as to whether I should switch from "lightly active" to "active." This week I'm in dance rehearsals, so I'm of course doing some intense cardio daily. But when my park opens full time, I will only be doing maybe 4 days of dance shows a week unless something happens to a dancer I'm understudying, and the rest of the time I'm a costume character, which I assume is not strenuous (I haven't trained yet). So I'm stuck as to whether I should switch my activity level or just calculate in dance calories on a day to day basis.

This is an amusingly specific thread title! As if there was a sub-community on this website of theme park entertainment employees :D

It doesn't matter that much, as long as you're consistent. Calorie goals are just a guide to get you started, then you start changing them depending on how the scale is moving, your energy/performance levels and simply how you're feeling.

If I were you I would increase my daily intake by perhaps 200 and see what happens. If you stop losing weight, then reverse it, but more likely if you become very hungry every day you might even increase your daily intake a little more. The absolute number of how much you eat doesn't matter so much as making sure you're eating a little less than what your body is using up.

Again, what MFP (or any calculator) tells you is just a guide, then you begin to cut down or increase when it's appropriate. Some things are just too difficult to calculate the expenditure for per session, so it's easier to overall increase and "see what happens."
