Study Snack HELP

I am a student studying accounting and I find myself at a desk studying usually in the evening and into the night. I have a nasty habit of mindlessly eating while I study and I find it hard not to munch the entire time! Not only does this lead to overeating, but it is at nighttime too which is the worst!! Any helpful advice would be appreciated!!

100 calories popcorn bag; mix original cheerios with some goldfish, and a few peanuts, and spicy almonds; drink very cold water; drink tea; drink sparkling water, eat an apple or tangerine, or orange; eat jello.

Either veggies or 94% fat free popcorn, only 90 calories for the whole bag!! YUM!

You could try chewing on gum & see if that helps.
Otherwise think of some filling but not super high calorie foods that you like & can fit into your calorie quota each day.

Try setting mini study goals for yourself. You have to get through a chapter or complete so much of an assignment by a certain time. When the time is up take a study break and have a healthy snack. No eating while you are actively studying. I find when I focus only on the food that I am eating I am more satisfied than if I'm not paying attention to the amount I am eating. Chew gum and drink water or herbal tea to offset the impulse to snack.

I love wasabi peas from ShopRite. Since they are eye-watering hot, I have no choice but to eat them one at a time, pea-by-pea.

I do best when I pay attention to what I'm eating, which means I don't eat when I'm doing other things. Palmer's study break idea is a good one.

Kale chips! Roll in olive oil mixed with cayenne pepper and salt. Bake on 250 for 25ish min. You can eat as many as you want. Kale is healthy and crunchy!

Gum could work for me, I don't know about you. And I agree with the 100 calorie popcorn bags, but I REALLY agree with the rewards thing.

Main piece of advice is to not have any of the junk food in your home so you're not tempted by it. Instead, you can try things like:

Apples, dry cereal (the ones that aren't as sugary-cheerios, corn flakes, etc), low calorie popcorn, tea and chewing gum helps A LOT (just be cautious since a lot of them have aspartame but if you've not problem with that, then don't worry). Tsp of peanut butter on a slice of bread, dried fruits and nuts (in moderation though since they are high calorically).
