    This is a serious question that requires serious thought. First, you need to know your experiment parameters.

    1.Flavor of tootsie pop
    2. Age of tootsie pop
    3. Age/sex of participant tongue
    4. Size of participant tongue
    5. Hydration of participant
    6. Will hydration take place during experiment or is the subject saliva the only liquid involved?
    7. Time of year
    8. Specific latitude and longitude or experiment location
    9. Relative humidity at the time of testing

    Provide all of these parameters and I'll better be able to answer this burning question that was not sufficiently answered by a cartoon owl 20 years ago. His experiment had fatal flaws and I will never accept his conclusions nor should any other rational minded person.

    Time to stop fooling around and get to sciencing!
