I am losing pounds and losing inches, everywhere except my belly. My waist and hips are down but my belly is up? Any suggestions or comments on this?

Keep going, you'll get there in due course. May be the last to go.0 -
I do 250 sit ups a day, it works,0

I have the opposite problem: I'm losing quite a bit in my stomach, but very little in my thighs. It's probably best to just keep working at the weight loss, and it will slowly come off.0

Sit ups may help strengthen you core muscles, but they won't reduce belly fat.
OP, all you can do is stick with what you're doing. Everybody loses body fat differently - some of us from the top down, others from the bottom up - and many of us find that the belly fat is among the last to go. Your body will chose where it releases fat first, and there's nothing you can do to speed up the process in any one place. Just keep losing fat (i.e. eating at a sensible deficit) and you'll get there eventually0 -

Maybe you are getting bloated. Try cutting back on salt or any foods that make you gas up.0 -
We can't decide where it comes off from, it just does. I'm sure that as you lose more fat that eventually it will come off of the belly. You can always do toning exercises to improve the muscle underneath until the body fat comes down enough to notice the difference.
Good luck. :flowerforyou:0 -
The belly is the last to go, usually...Mine is slowly shrinking, but think it will still stick around because of 2 pregnancies and had my appendix out too. Lots of stretching and shrinking over the years with losing weight and gaining it likely is all stretched out for good. LOL...0

Just keep going! Fat comes off first from wherever you put it on last, so it may take a while to get there. Keep up the good work!0

Keep eating healthy. Belly Fat is the last to lose. As is fat around the back right between the arm pits.
More Lean Protein, reduce simple carb intake. If you drink beer, don't. Or drink one or two a week. That will help with the belly in the long run as you keep going at it.
Walk often. Try to go everywhere by walking. Grocery store, park 2 or 3 blocks away and walk to it. Doesn't have to be speed walking.
Low stress, sleep adequate. Everything will turn out right.0 -
I think it depends on body shape. My sister is like you, whereas I have more of a pear shape. My belly goes flat first, my upper body gets very skinny, whereas my thighs remains heavy. I swear every weight loss version is equally annoying - I would kill for slim thighs!
Only advice is keep going and combine with ab exercises, so that when the fat goes, there is muscles underneath.0 -
Thank you evey one for your kind words and positive thoughts. I will keep doing as I am doing.0
