Losing/maintaining W/OUT exercise - success stories?

Just looking for some success stories from people who have managed to lose and keep off weight without exercise.
I'm 5'4", currently 129 lbs, looking to get back to the 115lb range. I know that it will be slow going without exercise, and that I don't want to restrict too much, I just want to know that it's possible and others have done it.
Just some background - I have an undifferentiated spondyloarthopathy, which basically causes my immune system to attack my joints. I've had ups and downs, health wise, and currently am in a not so good place. Had to go off the one med that keep me relatively moving, and back on prednisone the last couple of months just to be able to walk, basically. Working on mobility exercises but anything that would really cause me to burn calories is more injurious to my joints than beneficial to me at this time.
Being on the prednisone does not help. About 3 years ago I'd been on it for a year, no weight gain until the last couple of months. I've been 105-115 my whole life up until those 3 months, but I ballooned up to about 145 at that time. Got off the prednisone, and lost some of the weight, generally staying between 125-130 the next couple of years. In the couple of months since I started back, I went up to 134, but am now back to 130ish.
Just to be clear, not really looking for advice on how I can exercise despite everything. I know exercise is good, I know it's the preferable way, and I know what my body is currently capable of. I will be taking some water aerobic classes in the future when I get my med situation figured out. I'm also aware that there may come a day for me when exercise is pretty much off the table for good, so I'd just like to here some encouraging words that that doesn't mean I'll have to resign myself to being an uncomfortable (for me) weight as well.

I lost 40lbs without doing any exercise. Weight loss and exercise are two seperate things and you don't need to work out to lose weight. Now that I'm in maintenance I do walk and strength training, but I know I could maintain without it if I wanted to-just do what you can do and don't worry about what you can't do0
