Hello All, new to MFP, will need help and support!

Was on weight watchers for almost 3 months and lost NOTHING and stayed on program within my points. Went to a dietitian today (insurance company pays for 6 visits and encouraged me to go). We are trying a different approach. I am on 1400 calories a day and have to eat 70% in protein. Every time I eat a protein I have to have a fruit! She suggested I drink a protein shake a few times a week. Just curious as to why so much protein? It is going to take me a few days to get the point system out of my head and count calories and protein!
